Shobu11 is a football quiz PvP game where players compete by answering soccer questions. As their 3D production partner, we helped the team scale a character customization/shop experience with game-ready modular avatars and animations.
The main challenge was building a truly modular character system that stays stable under many outfit combinations and still works with specific gameplay animations. Heads, tops, bottoms, hats, and accessories had to swap cleanly without clipping or intersections, then export as optimized GLB assets ready for engine use.
The Solution
We delivered optimized modular 3D characters, tailored animation sets, and a production workflow that enforces compatibility rules, shape keys, and combination limits. This included custom football-celebration animations inspired by iconic Ronaldo and Mbappe moments, adapted to the modular rigs. We also automated Blender-to-GLB export with Python and aligned the output for developer-side auto-import into the shop pipeline, turning a fragile manual process into a repeatable system.
1
Modular Character System Planning
We defined modular rules for part compatibility so each hair, top, and accessory works together without breaking silhouettes or rig assumptions. This foundation made large-scale combination output predictable for production.
2
Interchangeable Part Production
We produced and organized modular part libraries for tops and accessories to support broad style variation. Every module was built for quick swapping and consistent visual quality across permutations.
3
Low Poly Mesh Optimization for Game
We delivered a low poly mesh pass optimized for in-game performance while preserving character readability and modular compatibility. The mesh structure was tuned to support smooth animation and efficient runtime usage across outfit combinations.
4
Automated Blender to GLB + Shop Sync Pipeline
We automated Blender-to-GLB export with Python so modular parts, outfit variants, shape keys, and compatibility limits are packaged consistently every time. With developer-side auto-import to the shop, publishing new hair, tops, bottoms, hats, accessories, and even animations became a streamlined workflow built for rapid catalog growth.
5
Customization Showcase and Validation
We validated the modular setup by showcasing rapid combination scenarios and ensuring outputs stayed integration-ready. The result is a practical customization system that supports marketplace presentation and in-game variety.
6
Outfit Preparation Before Animation
Before final animation rollout, we validated clothing and outfit readability with still-frame outfit boards. This helped confirm modular tops, pants, hats, and accessory combinations were clean and consistent before full motion passes.
7
Tailored Animation Pack (12 Moves)
We delivered 12 tailored gameplay-ready animations including character moments inspired by Ronaldo Siuuu, Mbappe celebration beats, and losing reactions. Every clip was validated against modular clothes, pants, tops, hats, and specific outfit combinations to keep motion quality consistent.

Modular 3D Character Production
Shobu11 demonstrates how modular characters can be packaged as production assets, not only visual experiments. Standardized parts and compatibility rules enable fast content expansion for game teams.
Blender Python Export Automation
Automated Blender scripting made GLB export predictable and repeatable. This matters when modular libraries grow and manual export bottlenecks start slowing delivery.
